i checked out bands coming to my town, and xoth were on the list. at first i thought they were cheesy since i only liked metal to be deep, dark, and atmospheric .
i did enjoy the technical complexity, so i gave them another chance. i equated shredding with jockishness (ugh), but i now see it as a creative choice. i just had to approach it on my own terms, and xoth was the perfect gateway for this. they really opened up a new world for me. quasiotter
Wowee !! Let me just say I drove home from work in record time ! This album is off the chain my friends ! It’s frenetic tempo is infectious and you’ll be screaming alongside them in no time. What a joy this was to listen to 💙 I’ll be purchasing their other two albums right now. Thoth’s Girl
Legit the only thing wrong with this album is that it is far too short. I would love an album like this that's twice as long! Oh well, maybe I'll just listen to it twice haha
(also just editing this for my vinyl friends, it doesn't say anywhere on the record, but this one plays at 45 rpm. Had a bit of a spook when it sounded a lot slower than I remembered lol) danielkrause
